yesterday we met peijun for one last time! before she leaves for the U.S.A. such a strange thing to think about, when i read newspapers and blogs and see pictures of obama waving i feel like the US is just next door, but translate that into endless hours of airborne flight and it feels so far. the country is a whole pacific ocean away - you could drift for seven months on it, like piscine patel, and never catch land in sight. then i think of facebook wall messages to be left, emails to be typed and read, and the distance wavers.

dresses are my new favourite, completely no-fuss and pretty and airy around the thighs. meizi and i snapped up two dresses each at a sale and now i can't wait to get more! i wore one today and felt so sad having to take it off, like a second skin. i want to live the rest of my life in dresses.
