I want to take a break from writing about Italy! - even though I still have Rome and Naples left to write about. Those can wait for another day; right now let me show you my crib!

The room is quite nice, it comes fully furnished with kitchen, pots and all. We cook dinner here everyday, rotating between Chinese and Western food.

The view from outside the window is lovely; it looks out onto a green field and quiet road. This photo was taken a while back: right now, the trees are turning golden yellow and the skies are mostly foggy and gray.

Both Jialing and I bought cacti for our rooms! We were browsing the street market in Liege and came across a small stall selling tons of cacti, so on impulse we bought one each. Mine is Kelso, shown above, a succulent with red-tipped leaves. Ling's is called Fez, this gorgeous rose-looking thing.

And yes, we have a TV! We must have watched countless episodes of My Super Sweet 16, Made and Tila Tequila from MTV by now. The channels are not bad, there's some movie channel with English movies like Aeon Flux, Kill Bill, Minority Report. There's a comedy central which has provided me with hours of laughing at That 70's Show and old episodes of Friends! And we also watch CNN in the morning. Not to mention, after midnight some channels begin having dubious commercials and chatlines for Dutch porn.

Our laundry room is lovely, we have four kick-ass washing machines and dryers. I LOVE THE DRYER, it is like the best machine ever invented, hooray to fresh crisp hot clothes with minimal effort!
