One week gone just like that! under a hazy spell of illness, fever and drugged sleep. Time passes too quickly: in only 3 more weeks, my internship will end; one month after that, I will be in Maastricht. I know in the big perspective of things, 4 months in Europe is so very short but it is a long time to be away from home. Hopefully my excitement to travel and experience will overcome this homesickness!

I got my letter from the National Organ Transplant Unit, reminding me I was near 21. I opted in for additional organs to be donated, but chickened out for skin because the thought of someone tearing off huge bloody chunks of my skin - birthmarks moles and all - is just too gross. It feels strange, making morbid decisions about body parts and thinking about your death now! because sometimes I, we all, get too used to feeling infallible. And I still can't believe I am TWENTY ONE: why is everyone so happy about turning 21, it just feels bittersweet and slightly sad.

I WAS 21 last year. My sorrow this year is greater than the previous year's. Haha
